A true crime thriller, and very relevant as the Golden State Killer was finally caught, using a technique explored in the book (DNA on genealogical sites). Michelle McNamara writes in a gripping style that presents gruesome facts in a way that keeps you reading, willing an answer to finally appear. Published after her untimely death, Michelle never got to know the answer during her lifetime, but reading the book, and learning that there are finally answers feels like I’m celebrating with the woman who wrote her own personal life story into this book. 10/10
